Mayor Meg Kelly, surrounded by representatives of the SSCSD and Saratoga-Wilton Youth Baseball Program, cut the ribbon on the newly refurbished East Side Recreational Park.

League President, Joe Rigabar, joined city officials recently to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the newly refurbished East Side Recreational Park.

The renovations are part of the school district's Great Outdoors Project. The project is providing much-needed upgrades to all school-owned outdoor spaces, including the park. Other parts of the project include new playgrounds, picnic areas, and outdoor facilities on school grounds. The Great Outdoors Project, a partnership with the city, took four years and $15.6 million to complete.

"This is awesome, I can't wait to play ball here," he said. "The city and the school district were awesome to work with. Being able to play in a facility like this will be incredible. People will want to come here to play."

The new facility gives SWYB the space and resources needed to host tournaments at the park, something we couldn't do before.
